2019 Mid -Atlantic Mini and Junior Maccabi Games hosted by the Kaiserman JCC on Sunday, May 5 , 2019!
In 1998, the Kaiserman JCC hosted the first ever Junior Maccabi Games (then called the Tri -State Junior Maccabi Games) and are delighted to bring this growing regional program back to the Philadelphia community. They are also excited to continue the tradition Baltimore began last year of combining the Junior and Mini Maccabi Games for a spectacular day of Jewish engagement.
The goal is to capture the excitement of the JCC Maccabi Games ® through healthy athletic competition and engaging social and cultural experiences for Jewish athletes ages 9 -12.
General Information about the Mini and Junior Games:
Date: Sunday, May 5, 2019
- The one -day event will run from 8: 00 am -6:00pm (end time is approximate).
- Each participant must be no younger than 9 and no older than 12 as of May 1st, 201 9 to participate.
- The Opening Ceremony will be held at the Kaiserman JCC located at 45 Haverford Rd, Wynnewood , PA.
- Competition will be h eld at the Kaiserman JCC, Friends’ Central School (a walkable distance from Kaiserman), local public and private schools, and at local municipal fields.
- Athletes and coaches should arrive no later than 7: 15 am to prepare for the Opening Ceremony.
- Lunch will be provided for all athletes, coaches and delegation heads.
- Each athlete will be provided with a delegation t -shirt. New this year, the delegation shirt s will be performance shirts!
- Please note: sports competitions will end at varying times and individual sports will likely end earlier than team sports. (Competition should end by 6:00pm.)

JCC Maccabi Games® – Philadelphia Delegation
For Jewish Athletes ages 13-16.
The JCC Maccabi Games® are a week-long international sporting event for Jewish athletes’ held each year in North America. The experience includes opening ceremony, intense competitions, community service mitzvah projects, fun evening events, home hospitality and down time activities. Team Philadelphia, one of the largest delegations participating in the Games each year, is comprised of athletes from all over the Philadelphia area and its suburbs. The Kaiserman JCC is the home base for Team Philadelphia. Athletes must try out for a position on a team.
